OUR STORY
The journey of our founder as a nature enthusiast began in her childhood, during her early morning walks in the serene grounds of IIT Madras with her father. It was there that her fascination with the natural world first blossomed. One unforgettable morning, she stumbled upon a dried, fluffy pile resting on the pavement, its grey and orange hues intertwined in an intriguing display. Curiosity piqued, she brought this peculiar find home and sought answers from her mother, a dedicated zoologist. Her mother revealed that the nest, crafted with remarkable precision and wisdom, belonged to a Tailor Bird. This moment ignited a profound connection between her and the wonders of nature.
As she pursued her undergraduate studies in Microbiology, a pivotal experience transformed her path. During one of her classes, she encountered bacterial flagella for the first time. Captivated by the intricate rotors and mechanisms, she envisioned their potential to inspire innovative technologies and machines. However, biomimicry was a relatively unknown concept at the time, and she struggled to find the guidance necessary to turn her ideas into reality.
Years later, her passion for microbes flourished as she took on the role of a bio-entrepreneurship, allowing her to delve deeper into the captivating world of these tiny organisms. This opportunity fuelled her desire to explore, advocate for, and educate others on the extraordinary potential of microbes in biomimicry.
From this passion, MicrobiaX was born. Dedicated to unveiling the immense potential of microbes, MicrobiaX represents a revolutionary approach to finding solutions in nature. Our mission is to inspire designers and innovators to explore and harness the fascinating realm of biomimicry and microbial science, driving forward a new era of sustainable and innovative technologies.
